The idea
When it’s your own house, there’s nobody else to blame. We used it to do everything the way we’d recommend to a client: open the main floor, keep one palette, and finish every room.
What we built
A long kitchen with white cabinets and a black island that seats four, an open dining area, a living room with room to breathe, and three bathrooms with walk-in showers.
The details
One light wood-look floor runs through the whole house. Matte black fixtures and steel-frame shower glass tie the bathrooms to the kitchen, so the house reads as one.
