The idea
A real working kitchen for a family: lots of counter, a sink you can stand at with someone beside you, and everything that doesn’t need to be out hidden in a pantry.
What we built
Gray shaker cabinets, a white island with an apron-front sink and seating, a chimney hood with wood shelves either side, and a walk-in pantry behind a sliding barn door.
The details
The backsplash is Morris & Co. tile, one of our favorites: a glossy, handmade-looking surface that catches the light. Woven pendants and a shiplap dining room finish the farmhouse feel.
